With Microsoft launching Windows 8 and its new start menu bringing live events like News and emails will you actually upgrade. Windows 8 does provide a number of upgrades under the hood like 3D and 2D enhancements. From experience Windows 8 gave me a few more FPS when I was gaming so lagging is none existent.
However the title UI doesn't seem to be appealing to users however I believe its a huge leap forward for Microsoft as no version of Windows seemed to be touch friendly. With Microsoft launching this it may seem to be hated and loved but it will only get better as Microsoft has learned from Vista.
